Who runs the book club?

That would be me, Katie! I grew up in New England and spent the past few years living and working in New York City. I started this book club in the Spring of 2025 because I loved the idea of meeting new people every month who actually enjoy the same kinds of book genres. This is a growing, independent club and a small business, so feedback is always welcome and appreciated. In which cities are the IRL book clubs available?

In-person monthly rotating book clubs are currently active in New York City, Boston, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane! We hope to be launching in additional cities in the coming months.

Can I switch to virtual later?

What if the IRL book clubs aren't available in my city yet?

We offer a virtual meetup option with our membership for those who prefer to connect online or don’t have local members nearby. You'll still enjoy all the same great discussions and community, just from the comfort of your own space. We'll let you know when we're live in your city.

What happens if my group isn’t available or active?

We check in throughout the month to make sure your group is active and meeting. If things aren’t getting off the ground, we’ll first try to pair you with another group. If that’s not possible, we’ll invite you to join our official virtual Society Literary Salon group for the month, so you can still take part in the discussion and meet other members. Just email us at hello@societyliterarysalon.com and we’ll get you set up.

How do I cancel my membership?

You can cancel at any time through your membership dashboard or by contacting our customer support team at hello@societyliterarysalon.com. Please ensure you cancel before your current membership period ends to avoid any renewal charges.

How do refunds work?

Please note that membership non-refundable. Once your membership is active, we do not offer refunds, even if you choose to cancel before the end of your billing cycle. You can cancel membership at any time through your membership dashboard or by contacting our customer support team at hello@societyliterarysalon.com.
